18 January 2025 - Auction Week Kickoff
@m.l.c.photos

Auction Week is in full stride and had our team running all over the valley this past weekend. From a hypercar rally to the Arizona Concours d'Elegance- this year's showcase is going to be one for the record books. We will continue to keep you in the loop on all the action, and give you an inside look at our perspective from the rest of the week. Don’t forget to check the event list at the bottom, for the remainder of auctions and other shows to check out this month!

Young Motorcars - Grand Opening

Congratulations to Young Motorcars on the grand opening of their new Scottsdale showroom. Thank you again for the invite to a special night, as we celebrated automotive excellence and the start to Arizona/Scottsdale Auction Week. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the dealer, and are certain we will be back for any future events.

Espressos & Engines

The family-owned, Italian grocer is the perfect place for the car community and gocarissimo’s “Espressos and Engines” events are the living example of that. Saturday at Andreoli’s started before the sun was out, and the parking lot filled up almost as quickly as the croissants were eaten. The Italian brands lead the way outside, which were highlighted by: a Ferrari Enzo, F40, LaFerrari, and Daytona SP3, along with a pair of special Lamborghinis- the 1994 Diablo SE30 and the 1998 Diablo SV Monterey Edition.

Torque on the Tarmac

I think it’s fair to debate that Porsches and Planes might be greater than Cars and Coffee. A unique and unusual setting, “Torque on the Tarmac” hosted by @timeandtire, allowed spectators to get out of their comfort zone and gain a new perspective of their surroundings. The well-curated event had an amazing turnout, which displayed a beautiful array of Porsches, planes, and other exotics. The annual show certainly adds a nice spark to Arizona's Auction Week.

Supercars at Sunset

Scottsdale’s local car enthusiast @c.j.n.photography threw his first event “Supercars at Sunset” this weekend @echelonautosports, which you did not want to miss. The show’s title could not have been more accurate. The inside of the shop was saved for none other than: the Holy Trinity of Hypercars, a Zonda Revo, a Bugatti Pur Sport, a McLaren Speedtail, and a Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4. Don't get us started on what showed up outside- you just had to be there.

Arizona Concours d'Elegance

Arizona’s 7th Annual Concours d’Elegance took place this past Sunday at the Scottsdale Civic Center, which is the third year in a row that the event has been staged here- after moving from the Arizona Biltmore Resort in Phoenix. The French term, which translates to “competition of elegance,” perfectly encapsulates the day of beauty and performance. Scottsdale’s classic car enthusiasts were treated to a lovely display of hidden gems. The only thing as elegant as the cars was the attire of some in attendance.

The People of the Arizona Concours d'Elegance

The “competition of elegance” does not solely apply to the cars judged at the annual concours events, but to the lost tradition of dressing up in period-correct attire. The fancy outfits and extravagant hats, along with Frank Sinatra playing on the park’s speakers, made for a perfect time capsule at the Scottsdale Civic Center.

The Scottsdale Grand Tour

The Exotic Network (TEN) started 2025 and their “X-Grand Tour” series in Scottsdale, which was lead by: an Agera RS, a couple of Bugatti Chirons, and a pair of McLaren Speedtails. Roughly 30 exotic car owners took on the scenic roads to Bartlett Lake; before ending with a fine dining experience at Mastro’s and a tour of the @vaultofscottsdale. Thank you for the invite to the rally- we hope to join for future events.

Wood and Wheels

The curated setting for Wood and Wheels presented a unique display for their spectators. The combination of arts and automotives created another playground for local photographers. We were lucky to have one of our team member's attend and capture his perspective on the night.

This Weekend

Making art and showing our perspective to the world is far more than a job, but a deep passion. We are just as grateful for the car owners at the weekend cars & coffee events, as any inquiries you send. The media allows us to constantly reminisce of peaceful, petrol-filled mornings. We hope that you can join us and see where the road leads.
