25 January 2025 - Auction Week Finale

Auction Week has come and gone, but not before leaving its mark in the record books. This year’s festivities displayed the exponential growth in the Arizona car community. The increased draw from out-of-state residents (not including the usual flock of snowbirds) was also very evident. Our team enjoyed making our rounds, and seeing all of the familiar faces out in the action. Check out our team's coverage from the remainder of the week, and don't forget the event schedule at the end to plan your first weekend in February!

RM Sotheby's

Returning to the “Jewel of the Desert” Arizona Biltmore Resort, RM Sotheby’s produced a lovely display of cars for auction outside of the hotel. Headlined by a 1958 Ferrari 250 GT LWB Berlinetta ‘Tour de France’ by Scaglietti and a 1931 Bentley 8-Litre Convertible Victoria by Murphy- this year’s buyers had great success. Our team was grateful to capture some of the staged beauty, before the cars went to their new homes.

Bonhams Cars: The Scottsdale Auction

Hosted at the prestigious Westin Kierland Resort and Spa, the Bonhams auction house adds another annual set of sales to the prized week. This year’s showcase brought out a beautiful 1956 Ferrari 250 Europa GT, a 2021 Ford GT Heritage Edition, and much more. Let us know your favorite car to cross the block this year!

Bagels & Bullsh*t

As said by the team themselves, “Bagels & Bullsh*t is not just a show - it’s a movement. An odyssey of oil, chrome, and grease-stained legends. A gathering where every vehicle has a tale, every wrench turn is a mark of pride, and every moment is a chance to bullsh*t like you’ve never bullsh*tted before.” We are always thrilled to join the madness at Otto, and Arizona’s Auction Week brought out the best of the best. With icons for everyone’s taste, the car club did not hold back to produce an outstanding event.

Supercar Saturday

The McLaren of Scottsdale dealership hosted their first “Supercar Saturday” event of 2025, which represents a new chapter in the dealer’s book. A couple of our members were able to attend and check out the loads of support that was given to the shop’s new beginning.

Barrett Jackson

After a record-breaking year in 2024, selling 2,016 vehicles and accumulating over $200 million in total auction sales, Barrett Jackson is back in Scottsdale and nearly matching their numbers from the previous year. Only three less vehicles were sold at Westworld of Scottsdale this year, which brought in a staggering $198 million in sales. A 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (first retail production VIN 001) lead the way for the auction and sold for $3.7 million- the highest-priced charity car, while a 2023 Hennessey Venom F5 Roadster was the most expensive sale for the collectible vehicles at $2.2 million. Let’s not forget to mention one of the crowd favorites, the iconic Hoonitruck owned by none other than Ken Block himself, which went to the new owner for $990,000.

An Agera For Auction Week

It's no question that one of the highlights for everyone this auction week was none other than FJ Miller's latest acquisition - the Koenigsegg Agera RS.

This one in particular has a special place in our hearts, being the first Agera for many when it was on display at Barrett-Jackson six years ago. Thanks to Mr. Miller, this special Agera made its return to Barrett and graced the streets of Scottsdale for everyone to enjoy. We couldn't get enough of it and hope to see it again in Monterey - hopefully along with its two brothers in complimenting specs.

This Weekend

Making art and showing our perspective to the world is far more than a job, but a deep passion. We are just as grateful for the car owners at the weekend cars & coffee events, as any inquiries you send. The media allows us to constantly reminisce of peaceful, petrol-filled mornings. We hope that you can join us and see where the road leads.
